Class is taught by Paul Rogers, a 2nd degree black belt student of Grandmaster Son’s, and is overseen by Grandmaster Pete Michaelson. This is a traditional style of Tae Kwon Do that is a great form of exercise and teaches effective self defense. Chung Do Kwan is based on six core tenets of Speed, Balance, Power, Focus, Control, and Relaxation that are developed by the activities that we practice in class. The class is broken down into a short run and stretching to warm up, basic techniques, forms, free style sparring, three step sparring and finally a warm down. There is no offensive contact during the sparring sessions to reinforce the focus and control aspects of the martial art, as well as for the safety of all students. Please join us for a fun and exciting class.
